In addition to The Blood Center's donor center locations, we have the capability for 8 mobile blood drives every day. Mobile drives can be accomplished in 2 ways, by having a set-up inside the site of the blood drive or to have a mobile bus unit park at the site. To have a blood drive at a particular site in Southern Louisiana or the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a minimum of 20 blood donations are required. To accomplish this goal, 25 - 30 blood donors should be scheduled prior to the drive. Potential blood donors can be deferred for different reasons, please review the deferral information.
