What information do we collect?
Personally identifiable information
- Your name (first and/or last)
- Your address, including city, state, and zip/postal code

- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
Any payment information collected, which is only collected for seminar registration and financial donations made through the Applications, is never stored or retained in any way by The Blood Center. The information is protected using industry standard SSL encryption and is transmitted in an encrypted form to USA ePay, The Blood Center's chosen payment processor. The Blood Center does not store any payment information from you with the exception of your name, payment confirmation number from USA ePay, and the amount paid (for financial donations only) for accounting purposes.

Location information is collected when using the Applications. With your explicit permission, the Applications can request updates to your physical location using GPS or other methods provided by the device manufacturer. This information is only used to display the closest donor center, the distances from your current location to all donor centers, and to get directions to a chosen donor center. Your location is never stored by The Blood Center or transmitted to any third party without your explicit permission, such as when receiving driving directions.
Anonymous location information, such as your city, state, or country may be collected in an aggregate, non-identifiable form to allow The Blood Center to better understand website visitors in order to improve the services that we offer. Anonymous location information is never stored by The Blood Center but is instead collected and stored by Google Analytics.

What do we use your information for?
Any of the information collected by the Applications, with the exception of payment information, may be used in one of the following ways:
- To personalize your experience with our Applications, to better respond to your individual needs
- To improve our Applications
- To send periodic emails or mobile push notifications, unless you opt-out
Payment information collected from you is only used in one of two ways:
- To submit payment for registration for one of our seminars using our Applications
- To submit a financial donation through our Applications
Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the product or service requested.
The email address you provide may be used to send you information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions. Any mobile device that you allow the Mobile App to accept push notifications for, may be used to notify you of new cholesterol results (via your My Results account), upcoming donation eligiblity reminders (via your My Results account), or periodic news updates that are also posted to www.thebloodcenter.org.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order, submit, or access your personal information.
Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your device's storage through your web browser, if you allow, that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. Google utilizes the data collected to track and examine the use of our websites and TBC Mobile app, to prepare reports on its activities, and share them with other Google services. The rights of users

Information collected automatically from this Application (or third party services employed in this Application), which can include: the IP addresses or domain names of the computers utilized by the Users who use this Application, the URI addresses (Uniform Resource Identifier), the time of the request, the method utilized to submit the request to the server, the size of the file received in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server's answer (successful outcome, error, etc.), the country of origin, the features of the browser and the operating system utilized by the User, the various time details per visit (e.g., the time spent on each page within the Application) and the details about the path followed within the Application with special reference to the sequence of pages visited, and other parameters about the device operating system and/or the User's IT environment.
