Donor Rewards

The Blood Center knows that our donors make an extra effort to be heroes, so we reward you for your lifesaving gift! Every time you donate blood, you get to choose your donor rewards:

DONOR RECOGNITION ITEM

We always have a great t-shirt or other promotional item that you’re sure to love!

BLOOD ASSURANCE

Donors selecting the Blood Assurance option receive one year of unlimited blood coverage per blood beneficiary. Learn more about Blood Assurance.

BLOOD REPLACEMENT

The Blood Replacement program was established to support patients with pre-existing illnesses and patients who are not already covered under Blood Assurance. Learn more about Blood Replacement.

FROM THE HEART CLUB

By choosing this option, you join a pool of other blood donors who send children with cancer and chronic hematologic disorders to a non-profit summer camp known as 'Camp Challenge'.

GLOBAL BLOOD FUND

When you choose this option, The Blood Center will contribute to the Global Blood Fund, which sends basic supplies (beds, chairs, scales, etc.) to blood donor centers in developing countries.

Go for the Gold

As an extra “thank you” to donors who donate regularly, we have our exclusive Go for the Gold loyalty program. Donors who give at least three times in a calendar year are automatically enrolled in this program and eligible for extra loyalty gifts.

2011 Rewards:

  • Bronze Donor: 1 donation
  • Silver Donor: 2 donations
  • Gold Donor: 3 donations – eligible for a Charcoal heather TBC golf shirt (choice of men’s or women’s styles)
  • Platinum Donor: 4 donations
  • Ruby Donor: 5 donations – eligible for an 18" red and black TBC duffle bag
  • Diamond Donor: 6 donations – eligible for a Navy unisex TBC windbreaker

Claiming your rewards is just a click away!
Within four to six weeks of your donation, you will receive your Blood Donor Card with your Donor ID# printed on it. Use your Donor ID# to log on to www.goforthegold.org. View your donation history for the year and see which items you are eligible for. If you are a Gold, Ruby or Diamond donor, select a size and style (if applicable) and claim your item, which will be sent to you in the mail!
